iphone photo dump: april, may, june

Here is a LONG overdue update...so long that I have to go back to April. Phone photo dumps are probably going to be the best I do on this blog for a while, at least until I get my messy house uner control...in about 18 years.

Easter. About three weeks to go.

Will using my belly for his cars. Apparently I was gardening?...in some sweet sweatpants.

My first selfie with my girl. I was t.i.r.e.d.

Will liked holding Maggie for about 30 seconds at a time.

Will was finally old enough for the rides at the Strawberry Festival.

Mags got lots of snuggles from dad.

This was the first time I ventured out of the house with makeup and real pants on.

Our first post-hospital family photo...that only Maggie's feet are in.

Will became a pro at swimming this summer.

He was telling Nana a big story here.

And the phrase, "Be careful around your sister" was uttered 50 times every day.

Maggie was never real impressed with my photo attempts.

She smelled so good...you know that clean baby smell. The best.

Our first go at a raised bed garden went surprisingly well.

Lots of visits to Nana and Papaw's house were made...

...and in one particular visit, Mags had a blowout and got a bath in the pasta salad bowl.

Brian finally got that hammock I had promised him for Father's Day.

I actually have what seems like a thousand pictures on my phone from those first few months with Maggie. I felt it necessary to document every facial expession she made, but I'll stop there for now.

June, July, and August up next.

Maggie: weeks 12-21

Once again, time has gotten away from me.

Maggie will be 5 months old this week!  She is a little over 14 pounds and is 26.5 inches long.  She loves bath time and sitting up on your lap. She started sleeping through the night at about 3 months (amen.), but had been in her bouncy seat all night. We are slowly transitioning her to laying flat in her crib. She can also roll from her back to belly which has opened worlds of opportunities in the sleeping department--who knew sleeping on your belly could be so wonderful! Still chowing down on just mama's milk, although she's starting to watch our forks travel from the plate to our mouths. We just introduced her to the bouncy seat that hangs from the door frame, and she is digging it...for about 15 minutes at a time.  Boo has given her a few full-face kisses which Maggie finds hysterical...mama not so much. She officially has some solid nicknames: Mags, Magilicious, and Magaroni. Maggie loves to watch her brother...and he is unbelievably sweet with her.  She is such a chill and very sweet little girl. AND, she is growing like a weed.

Maggie, week by week

For Will, I did a photo project where I took pictures of him every week until he turned one.  I'm so glad I did it, but looking back, it was a pretty daunting task sometimes...and now there are TWO of them.  So I hadn't planned to do this for Maggie...I was just going to take monthly pictures...but, I wanted her to be able to look back at how much she grew in her first year just like her brother could.  However, this extreme guilt didn't set in until week 4...I hate that I don't have pictures for weeks 1-3! But, nonetheless, here we go!

I decided to make my life easier, I would just take Maggie's picture in whatever she was wearing that day (rather than putting her in a white onesie like I did with Will).  And even though I crocheted her a blanket, I decided to lay her on this colorful quilt that was my Grandma Maggie's (little Maggie's namesake).  Here are weeks 4-11...with some of my other favorites along the way at the end!

This was the best one, I promise.
